Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. The images are opened, resized and saved again in your browser. Nothing goes to our server, not even for “Download all”.
Can I convert HEIC photos from my iPhone?
Yes, in every current browser. Safari opens HEIC itself; in Chrome, Edge and Firefox the tool loads a decoder once (about 2 MB). The photo stays in your browser.
What happens to camera, date and GPS information?
It is dropped because the image is saved again. The photo’s rotation is applied first, so the image is the right way up. If you only want to remove the information and leave the image otherwise unchanged, use “Remove image data”.
