Frequently asked questions
How is the comparison done?
Line by line using Myers’ algorithm, which Git also uses: it looks for the smallest number of changes. In changed lines, the changed words are highlighted.
What do the options do?
“Ignore whitespace” does not count extra or missing spaces and tabs as changes. “Ignore case” treats “House” and “house” as the same.
How long can the texts be?
Up to 5,000 lines and 2 MB per text.
