Frequently asked questions
How do you write 2026 in Roman numerals?
MMXXVI: two M (1000), two X (10), then V (5) and I (1).
Why does it stop at 3999?
In the usual notation a symbol appears at most three times in a row. 4000 would need MMMM or special symbols with a bar, which are not standardised.
Is IIII also correct?
Clocks often show IIII instead of IV. The tool reads such notations and also shows the usual form.
