Frequently asked questions

QR-IBAN or regular IBAN?

With a QR-IBAN (institution ID 30000 to 31999) every bill needs a QR reference, and from 14 November 2026 (SIX specifications, version 2.4) this is only possible in Swiss francs. With a regular IBAN you enter an RF reference (Creditor Reference) or no reference, in francs or euros. You get a QR-IBAN from your bank.

What goes into the address?

Since November 2025 only structured addresses: name, street, house number, postcode, town and country, each in its own field. The name must match the account. PO box details go in the street field, c/o additions in the header of your bill, not in the payment part.

Can I print the bill?

Yes, at actual size (100 %, not “fit to page”). The PDF is intended for e-banking and banking apps; anyone paying at the post office counter needs the payment part on perforated paper. The dashed lines with the scissors show where to cut.

How do I check the bill before sending it?

Scan the QR code with your own banking app: it shows the amount, account and reference exactly as your customers will see them.
