Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the net salary?
AHV/IV/EO and unemployment insurance are fixed by law and are exact. Pension fund, non-occupational accident and daily sickness insurance are set by your employer; with the figures from your payslip the estimate becomes exact.
Why are taxes missing?
In Switzerland the employer does not deduct income tax, except for withholding tax (e.g. B permit). You pay taxes yourself later; they depend on your municipality, marital status and deductions.
What does «BVG minimum» mean?
The statutory minimum savings: 7 to 18 % of the coordinated salary depending on age, of which you pay at least half. Many pension funds charge more plus a risk contribution.
