Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between 301 and 302?
301 and 308 are permanent redirects; search engines adopt the new target. 302 and 307 are temporary. 307 and 308 also keep the method (e.g. POST).
Is the content of the page loaded?
No. We only read the headers and close the connection before the content arrives.
Which security headers matter most?
HSTS enforces HTTPS, a Content Security Policy curbs injected scripts, nosniff and frame-ancestors close further gaps. The rating gives a suggestion for each header.
