Different answers disappear once the TTL of the old record has run out. SWITCH also blocks sites on the Swiss gambling block list and known malicious sites.
Frequently asked questions
Why do resolvers show different values?
Each resolver stores an answer for as long as the record's TTL allows. After a change, some still return the old value until that time has run out.
How long until a change is everywhere?
At most as long as the TTL of the old record, often an hour or a day. If you plan a change, lower the TTL beforehand, for example to 300 seconds.
Is this a worldwide check?
Eight large public resolvers are checked, including the Swiss SWITCH and Digitale Gesellschaft. We cannot see your internet provider's resolvers, but they behave the same way and respect the TTL.
